Roseman ABSN February 2024

Published

Hi! I haven't seen a thread for Roseman's ABSN February 2024 so I thought I'd create one. I just received an interview invite today and my interview will be in a few weeks, I am so nervous!

Has anyone gotten all their shots yet for school??

Has anyone gotten all their immunizations yet for school?

Would anyone explain how the exams are structured? I understand we go through 1 subject at a time, so do we take an exam after each subject? I want to plan ahead with my schedule in advance so if anyone who has graduated or currently at Roseman can please elaborate. It would be greatly appreciative!

4-6 week blocks you take 2 exams shorter blocks only have one exam. In between blocks you will have labs depending on the class.

@FutureNurseCO did you enjoy the program overall??

@FutureNurseCO  we were given the yearly curriculum. Are the exams during "Block remediation"? During the block "assessment" is that in campus?

I'm also nervous that we would have to pass with a 98.9% (correct me if I'm wrong). Any tips on how to succeed.

Thank you in advance!

You have to get 90% on all exams. I honestly don't care much for the program LOL. If they give students what they need to succeed on this new curriculum it will be smoother. Nursing school is very challenging and I feel like they make it harder than what it needs to be.

Your cohort may have a different experience because my cohort is currently the guinea pigs on the new curriculum.

Block remediation is after you've had two unsuccessful attempts passing the assessment. You have a third chance at taking the exam at the end of the term.

The best way to succeed in this program is only study what they present to you. Also finding outside resources that match the program. They give PowerPoints so I would follow the PowerPoints find that info in the books and stick with it.  Watching lecture and taking notes helps as well. They tend to tell you what you need to know.

@FutureNurseCO when are the exams taken? We have Block 1 - professional nursing & health, Block 2 - introduction to health concepts, Block 3 - health assessment, clinical remediation, Block 4 - nursing care across lifespan, Block remediation.

thank you so much for replying!

You will not know until you get the schedule for that course. Block one is an essay no exam. Generally exams are 2 weeks after the class starts. Block 3 has one exam .
