Starting this thread for everyone who is applying to RFUs 2026 cohort ! I applied and got my confirmation they received my application and now just waiting.
Oh I got it in my initial confirmation email I see it now. It's the email that says: We've received your Doctor of Nursing Practice: Nurse Anesthesia Entry Application! There was a temporary pin it provided in that email. Once you set up your account it was a one time pin and from then on you should have a password for your RFU log in. There isn't another pin after that to my knowledge. I did it a month ago so I had forgotten
Posted this on the other form as well:
I also got a notification that my application is on hold. Applied 8/31, verified 9/4, got the email for hold 9/12. Did not do a Kira interview... feeling discouraged because RFU is one of my top programs and I felt that my application was strong. Any previous applicants experience being on hold before Kira?

Sorry to hear that 😕 did they say anything other just being on hold? They did say that means you're still being considered. Would you mind sharing your stats?

The email says " it has been placed on hold for continued consideration". Nursing GPA 3.8, 3 years in PICU, charge, preceptor, UPC/education committee, CCRN, community service, research, and 30+ shadowing hours. Maybe it's because of my PICU experience vs other competitive adult ICU applicants..?

Those are great stats! They said they accept both PICU and NICU so im not sure why hold. They grade heavily essay qs and Kira from what they were saying. This year is probably particularly difficult to get in given the amount of applicants

The only ICU experience I have is NICU. I had emailed the director last year and asked if I should return to bedside nursing in an adult ICU position prior to applying and she said it wasn't necessary. I do agree that they weigh your essay questions heavily. Most applicants have very similar stats (high GPAs, etc.), so essays are a way to really differentiate yourself.

Thank you! Trying to keep a positive attitude and onward with the other school apps :) Good luck with your application!

If I don't have any pin...do I email the email on the RFU status website?
