Hey everyone! I will be applying soon to Rosalind Franklin University's CRNA program starting May 2024.
I know applications in NursingCAS will open on August 10, 2023 and will close on December 15, 2023. I've heard that it is very competitive with rolling admissions so apply early! Interview invites have gone out in September in the past with virtual interviews taking place between October and February. Admission spots were offered last year as early as October.
If you have anything to share throughout this application process, please post here!
Good luck to everyone!!
Giving my timeline in case it's of any help to anyone. Submitted my application the day it opened, 8/10. NursingCAS verified my application on 8/13. Received an email from RFU 8/14 stating they had received my application. Not sure how long to expect to wait to hear about an interview, but if others could post their timeline as well, it might be helpful!
My stats for anyone curious:
10 years ICU experience, MSN, CCRN. 3.0gpa in undergraduate, 3.9gpa in my MSN program. Second time applicant, I first applied in 2018 and since then have earned my MSN and CCRN.
I submitted my app on 8/15 and it was verified on 8/16. RFU should receive my app sometime this week.
Here are my stats:
- BSN GPA 3.7, Natural Science GPA 3.5
- Currently taking Advanced Patho and Biostatistics
- 1.5 years MICU and almost 1 year PICU experience. RN for 1.5 years only.
- Charge Nurse, Preceptor, Clinical Coach
- CCRN, PALS, ACLS, BLS
- Involved in 8 unit and facility based councils/ committees with EBP projects.
- Volunteer and community experience
- Various academic/nursing awards, professional organization and honor society memberships
- 16 hours CRNA shadowing experience
- Attended CRNA workshop events including one at RFU and boot camps.
Hope this helps anyone! Hopefully we'll hear back in the next 2-3 weeks.
icunurseBSNRN said:actually I just looked back. My nursingCas was verified Aug 17th early AM. Later that day, I got the email from RFU (Aug 17th) that they received my app.
Ohh okay. I never received a confirmation email which was weird LOL. So I contacted them and they stated that they are reviewing my application. Good luck!!
Got an email from RFU today stating that my application has been placed on hold. Not sure what this means, but I'm taking it as a soft denial since I applied the day the application opened, interviews haven't started yet. On the RFU website there is a FAQ pertaining to a post interview hold status, which doesn't apply to me. Good luck to everyone applying this year!

Their website does not specify when they want it to be completed. It's just recommended that it's taken within the last 2 years. I'm currently enrolled to take it this fall.
