Rosalind Franklin 2018

Published

Was just accepted to Rosalind Franklin for May 2018. I just wanted to start this thread to come into contact with others planning on attending or hoping to in May also.

Ok thanks makes sense. But it lays out the 4 part interview process just seems like it's a typo or missing words or something (i.e. a simulation with prompts) because the other parts are specific: (1) will have a prompts (2) will have a clinical Scenario (3) will have a panel interview (4) will be reading comprehension exercise. I justwish I knew what it was meant to say so I could prepare/choose.

The afternoon option clearly states all 5 components. Maybe they've changed how they do them since Dec.

I am doing the afternoon portion:

Applicants will be interviewed at a series of five stations that will test your professional aptitude and communication skills in different ways: (1) Written Test - ICU Knowledge, (2) Simulated Patient Encounter, (3) Situational Response, (4) Panel Interview I, and (5) Panel Interview II. The day is typically 3 hours long.

They tell you guys what to expect now? Lucky we didnt find out till you got there. Atleast thats how my group and the first group 2 weeks prior was. Good Luck!!

Haha I almost wish I didn't know. 5 part interview is a little nerve-wracking. Do you have any pointers? Do you know how many have been accepted?

Just be yourself as cliche as that is. I only know of the people that have been accepted that have stated on here. Its not that bad thats really all i can say they make you sign confidentiality basically about the interview. I liked it better than standard job interviews ill say that.

Oh that helps me take a deep breath! Thank you! I really hope to meet y'all in May! I'd be coming all the way from south Texas! Ok, back to studying :)

Hey all! I got accepted as well. I'm moving to the area from New Hampshire, can't wait to meet everyone! Good luck to everyone else applying!

Thank you! I think it went well! However, we were the last group to interview and it's "rolling admission", so they've accepted new students as they're deemed worthy. PD said there are less spots available, soooo... we shall see!

So they are all done with the interviews for the year?

Yeah, 2/22 was the last day. There were 10 people in the afternoon group & I assume about 10 in the morning group. They are taking 33 students for the program.
