Hello all!

I have read all of the posts from the 2020 group and wanted to start the 2021 thread in hopes of connecting with other applicants while we all try and navigate this during the pandemic. I applied to RFU CRNA DNP program and have scheduled my interview. I have not received the email with the interview information in it, but I am certain it is via webcam. Does anyone have any additional info or tips of how to best prepare? I am of course revisiting all of my CCRN material! Has anyone else scheduled their interview, if so did you receive notification of being granted an interview? I log on and check my checklist frequently and when I logged on it was there for me to schedule, so I did. I am extremely excited, just curious if anyone else experienced this. Also, are they interviewing everyone since they will be over webcam? Looking forward to connecting with y'all!

Hi! That is a very good point you make. I suppose they could have a handful of interviewers, but even then only have 3 interview times seems like it must be a large group of us. Maybe we split off into smaller groups for individual interviews? Who knows. As far as preparing I am doing similar to what you had said. Doing some research on interview type questions as well as going over all my CCRN notes. Good luck!

Hi- I am finishing my application up.... so excited and nervous.  You all seem very kind, helping each other through this tricky and nerve-wracking time. LOL.  Are any of you from outside IL?  Good luck to everyone!!

With the rolling admissions process, does anyone know how fast the seats fill for this program?

How is everyone doing with preparing? This being online totally changes things up and I am uncertain how similar these interviews will be to years past.

I am unsure what to expect but just trying to prepare for all clinical and situation questions. I am both nervous and excited. Has anyone received further information regarding their interview beyond the confirmation email? Keep posting and sending all the updates. We can do this!

Has anyone received detail information regarding the interview? The confirmation email mentioned a more detailed email to come prior to the interview.

Hey I’m currently filling out my application! Does anyone know if the three recommendations have to be an academic reference, work supervisor and physician or could it be a combination like two academic sources and a supervisor?

My invitation was sent a couple of weeks after submission. Best of luck!

I never got an official invitation, it was available for me to sign up a couple weeks after I submitted. You should be getting another email soon with instructions to set up your application checklist and it would be on there for you to set up. Hope this helps!
