Rolling Backpack vs. Duffle

After looking through the LL Bean site, I started wondering if there would be an advantage to the duffle bag over the backpack? Or disadvantage? Maybe it's too wide? Seems like it might hold more overall, but maybe it'd be more chaotic and harder to organize? I just thought it looked more multi-purpose, but maybe not?!?!

Get a PDA and you won't need either. You can't get all your books on PDA, but you will have the ones you need all the time in your pocket.

I used a rolling backpack for class days. I had so many books in it, it killed my back to wear it. I could not fit all of my books in a regular backpack. For clinical days, I used a Jansport backpack. It only had 1-2 books, a few notebooks, food, water, and clinical supplies in it. (about 15 lbs so it was not that difficult to wear)

I got a rolling duffel from Wal Mart. It is listed as a weekend bag for trips, but it works great :)

I really like the rolling luggage kind over the rolling backpacks. That is what I plan to use.

I love my rolling backpack. It's so roomy, and there is no stress on my back, arms, or shoulders.
