Any male nurse's out there??????????
Male = 42 years;RN = 3 months;
Picking my own color scrubs (with fly openings) and finding XL gloves on the unit = priceless.
RN working in the ICU at the VA Medical Center... serving those who served for us.
Hats off for your career choice. Big chuckle for the scrubs/gloves comment...That's irony ain't it?
I was personally chairing a committee to start a committee to identify an actual chain of command at my former place of employment before decided to take an extended hiatus...
RN from Sydney, Australia here. I have been registered for 2 years now, and have worked in drug and alcohol detox since I started. Originally at a private psychiatric hospital and now at a purpose built detox unit that is part of a public hospital. Does anyone else find it weird that d&a should fall under the charge of gastro department?

Got room for one more? I'm a Southern Boy so I'm kinda slow at these here things. I seen you only been around here about 3 years, so I reckon I'm not too dang late. Count me in. I do the MICU thing at my house of pain and grajeated from the schoolhouse in 19 and 83. Geez! I reckon that makes me an old timer now. When do we party?
Hi! New to the forum. Glad to be here. Went to nusing school after 4 years active duty USMC. Grauated 1991. 18 years as an RN, the last 9 in ICU.
Hey Tom! Welcome to the boards. I had a question: Where did you go to nursing school at? My wife is from Wisconsin although we live in CO now... She wants to move back real bad. She's from Minocqua.
