Hello future Rn's!!! I am so ready for February to be here!! I did not see a thread on this, so I started one.. Anybody out there coming on this wild journey with me?
Adriana
I'm an alternate for the Feb LPN - RN bridge program and definite for April. My boyfriend starts the 2 year RN program in February. We're both having issues scheduling our work around it so we both may end up pushing back our start dates. :-(Also another friend of mine starts in February for the 2 year RN program. I'm not sure if she's on this forum. Good luck to all.
Hi Nicole!! I am new to Nursing as well..Is your orientation on Jan 23rd also?
Hey shamrokks- Do you happen to know the schedule they gave him? I still am awaiting my advising interview and need an idea of the schedules out there so I can also redo my work hours etc..
Thank You!!!!

I don't think he's even been given his schedule yet. There was a class list for the semester but no times.
Congrats to all of you! Future price, I relate to you because my parents both died from different cancers and I am now 42 and I too, want to go back to school to pursue nursing and possibly work in oncology. Hats off to you.
I am looking into different paths now. I may want to go on for the BSN after the Rn like some of you. I was under the impression (please correct me if I am wrong!) that Galen credits are not accepted at 4 year universities like USF or University of Tampa?
If they are accepted, I can consider Galen so please let me know.
Good luck to you all!
I have an e-mail from University of Tampa directly that states that they DO accept Galen nursing credits. However, they do not accept their Gen Ed requirements because they are not regionally accredited. Therefore, if you have all your Gen Eds completed elsewhere you can definitely transfer to University to Tampa. I'm not sure about USF because I haven't heard back from them yet.
Galen is great if you're like me and you don't want to wait. It is expensive but they do have a good reputation in the Central Florida area. I cannot wait to start!
I don't know about the PAX-PN but I do know about the PAX-RN. I just studied from the book about two weeks before taking the test. I mostly reviewed math and English. Science is hard because it is so broad. I scanned the science section once a day. I did all the practice tests and timed myself as well. Be prepared for a time crunch! Answer every question even if you're unsure of the answer as you don't lose points for wrong answers.

Where do you plan on doing your RN-to-BSN? I am not looking forward to the white uniforms!
