two bits of information requested of the group...this will require the help of those serving. thank you for your sacrifice!

i will be 39 years of age when i am graduate my bsn program. i have worked as a medic for 5+ years and have about 10 years total combined heath care and business experience. i have considered joining the army reserve after graduating. i would like to know what opportunities exist and any options. i want to hear this from an rn ... not a recruiter.

your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Hello Sal B:

What specific questions do you have regarding the Army Reserve Nurse Corps? I have been with the Reserves for over two years and have my packet before the Board (I am going AC). I went into the ARNC "late in life" but I must say if you DO have questions the best person to answer you is a Healthcare Recruiter in your home state.

Best of luck to you,

athena

Hi Athena-

This is a little bit off the subject but I notice that you are a fellow islander (SI).

I am going to graduate this May and am also considering the reserves. I am just wondering where you do your training?

Also, any information you can offer in regards to your experiences in the reserves (likes and dislikes) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jaime
