RN wanting RCIS

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting on this site :)

I have been an RN for 4 years and have been in the cath lab for 5 months now. I am currently switching from a hospital that allows nurses to scrub to one that does not. I personally love scrubbing and would like to obtain my RCIS. I'm not having much luck with Google trying to find the process of an RN obtaining RCIS certification.

Does anyone know this process?

Any recommendations on study guides/books for RN to RCIS?

It's typically a two year program. I believe you can become credentialed as an RCIS using only an RN degree combined with a year of cath lab experience and a minimum number of cases, but my understanding is that most places only hire those with "RCIS4" which means they graduated from an accredited two year cardiology tech program and passed the test.

Google Wes Tod. He has all the study materials available. If you are already a Cath Lab RN then adding RCIS to your resume can do nothing but help to make you more marketable. I am a Cath Lab RN and am studying for RCIS now. So far the only people that have discouraged me are techs that think I want to take their job.
