Most provinces require a BSN now plus Canada is so big and you can not base your move on which province will accept you as things do differ from one side of the country to the other and you may not want certain aspect of that area because you are looking for something else. You need to choose a province that meets your expectations and then look at the link to the provincial college of RN's and see what their requirements are. a list of the colleges can be found near the top in the Canadian forum

Ok thanks so much for replying.. how do i find out which provinces take the diploma in nursing..

(An AAS in nursing is an associate's degree, not a diploma.)

yep thanks... ASSOCIATES DEGREE IN NURSING..

Specializes in Acute Care, Rehab, Palliative.

I believe that now ALL the provinces require a BSN but will make exceptions for those who have a certain number of years experience. You really need to pick a province and apply to see what they say as they evaluate each case individually.

Thanks loriangel am doing that.. its nice to hear that they do consider experience, i have 2yrs in the CCU unit.

Specializes in ICU.

Sorry but experience over BSN definitely means more than 2 years of experience as a nurse.
