The licensure exam to become a RN in the US is called the NCLEX-RN. For LPNs, it's the NCLEX-PN. TEAS and NET are sometimes used by nursing programs for admissions purposes. It is not required everywhere. I took neither the NET or TEAS. Information on if and when you would need to take either the NET or TEAS would be provided by the nursing program you're interested in applying to.
Good luck in your journey to becoming a nurse!
I took the TEAS test. You may want to check out http://www.eriworld.com/
This site has the NET book you can use to study by. Hope this helps.
It all depends on the school or program you plan to attend some may have none, use the teas, net,or NLN exam for entrance. If you do plan on going don't take theses test lightly. Not that they are the hardest or most difficult. It's just that I have several friends who didn't study like they should have and didnt get into the nursing program over not wanting to buy the neccessary study materials. It just depends how much weight the test holds pertaining to your admission. You may pass the test but they might only want people in a certain percentile.

I was wondering, to become an RN do you have to take the TEAs, or the NET??? I heard NET was for only the LPN's? Is that ture? if not, when do you have to take the NET and the TEAS?
