My husband and I will soon be moving for his job. The towns/cities that we are considering are St. Louis, MO, Birmingham, AL, Dallas, TX, Winston-Salem, NC, Durham, NC. Are there any RN's that could tell me a round about base salary pay? I am a pediatric RN with 3 years experience along with a CPN and BSN. Any information would be helpful!

I am in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas. Since new grads start between $22 and $25 hourly at most of the local hospital systems in the area, with 3 years of experience you'll probably earn anywhere from mid $20s up to very low $30s per hour.
Thank you so much!

I moved here from NC...the pay is better here, the cost of living is way better, the quality of life is better...food, entertainment, shopping, parks, museums, you name it...we have it! Not to mention we have the #4 Children's Hospital in the US! And I have to say...it's truly amazing! I live in the Central West End about 2 blocks from Children's. I'm telling you don't waste your time even thinking about any place else! This city is AWESOME! I wish we could post pics here...I'd be able to show you pics of STLCH...it's unbelievable! With a true quality of care! The kind that other places TALK about...STLCH is living it!

I changed my profile pic so you could see a glimpse of the inside if STLCH. But even beyond STLCH, the career opportunities here are endless!
It is definitely gorgeous there. My husband and I toured the Children's hospital as well as the West End village and were extremely impressed. Would you giving me an estimated base salary for pedi RN's a STLCH and how it compared to NC?
I can't give a direct quote obviously, especially because I don't work there, but I would guess, with your creds it should be right around $30/hr.
And don't forget that you have A LOT of bargaining power because right down the road from STLCH is Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, and then just down the road in the other direction is Mercy Children's. My point being that there are plenty of options available and these facilities are aware of that. With all of them being in such close proximity to each other on top of WASHU Hospital and SLU Hospital, Missouri Baptist, SSM, and Barnes Jewish Hospital. Certainly one would think getting the kind of pay you're looking for as they are all huge facilities.
I do know of a brand new grad that took a position at yet another local hospital (Forest Park) and she was offered $22/hr and hasn't even taken her boards yet.
I know I'm not giving you much to go on dollar wise, all I can tell you is that your options, especially with those creds, are unbelievable and you'll find what you're looking for! And if you come to STL, no matter where you end up, we'll be happy to have you!

I was offered a position in Winston Salem, NC. With 3 years of experience, it was $23.85 at an outpatient facility through the hospital. I'm relocating from Hawaii so I can only compare here to there, obviously huge difference!

I am a new grad so I can't give you what you would make but I am in St. Louis & I work at a large local system & was only started off at $20.37. And that is with already being in the system as a student nurse tech.
