HELLO,
I JUST RECENTLY RENEWED MY LICENSE (GOT MY RN LICENSE 2008) VIA INTERNET AND FOUND OUT (FROM MY CHARGE NURSE) THAT MY RENEWAL WAS INCOMPLETE. APPARENTLY, I DID NOT INPUT THE FINGERPRINT SECTION. SINCE I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY DOCUMENTS FROM BRN, I WENT AHEAD AND DID A LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTS, PLUS EMAILED THE BOARDS, SINCE TRYING TO SPEAK A LIVE PERSON IS IMPOSSIBLE... HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANYONE AND IF SO, HOW LONG DID IT TAKE TO CLEAR UP RENEWAL PROCESS?
MIND YOU, MY LICENSE EXPIRES END OF THIS MONTH. SO I'M BITING MY NAILS AND CROSSING MY FINGERS HOPING MY LICENSE VERIFICATION STATUS GETS UPDATED BY END OF THIS MONTH, OTHERWISE, I CANNOT WORK.....BOOOOOHOOOO!!! HELP!!!
THANK YOU!!!!

I would definitely try calling them to sort this out. If you don't have a current license, you can't work.

Where I live you can apply for renewal online but the fingerprint thing ... it was the employer who did that and the BON has never asked me for any fingerprint check. Are you saying where you are the BON requires a fingerprint check with the renewal process?
I live in a very lax state; they don't even require CECs. When I first applied for my RN license in the state I am in now I had to send in transcripts and signed a release for a background check.
It's renewal time for many of us. When applying online if they approve it then they send the RN license card. Did you receive a card last time you applied for renewal?

maybe she's REALLY nervous? lol
the only time i've had to submit in TX fingerprints was for initial licensing (sp?)
when in doubt, CALL the board..... even if they take longer to answer than the DMV. good luck :)
