RN License Reciprocity...

Published

Hi Guys,

For those who have experience in doing this...

I have to be licensed in OH prior to starting NA school. Do I have to contact the CA BRN or OH BRN for reciprocity? I'm not quite sure how to do this.

Any input will help. :)

Just to clarify. If I am licensed in Vermont as an RN, then I should only be applying for reciprocity to work in Ohio? I am getting discouraged after reading the requirements for licensure by endorsement as it is like starting all over again.

Please enlighten me on this.

Big thanks.

Even for endorsement you still have to meet requirements of the state, if International trained then you have to meet International requirements

So, R U saying they have finally made decisions leading to positive outcomes.

Anotherwords, my MA license allows me to practice in CA untile the paperwork is completed and I recieve my CA nursing license. Obviously I would keep my MA license and the Connecticut one also.

?????

Not clear what you mean by that ... Nothing about licensure has changed any time recently. You need a California nursing license to be able to practice nursing in California. The only exception to this is federal employment (working at a VA hospital, military base, etc. -- anything federal). The federal government only requires that you be licensed in a US state (any state), regardless of where you and the employment are geographically located.
