RN License Endorsement

Published

Before calling the CA Board of Nursing and waiting on hold, I was wondering if anyone could answer my question.

I passed my NCLEX in AZ and then applied for a CA License endorsement. I've had the License endorsement for a couple years and now is the time to get re-certified for CA. AZ re-certification is due next year. I don't want my CA License endorsement anymore. I thought I was going to work there,

but it's not the case now. I'm a SAHM at the moment.

So my question is, if I lose my CA License endorsement will it affect my Nursing License in any way? My AZ License, where I passed my NCLEX, is the only re-certification I need to worry about? Right? Thanks!

It's not a "license endorsement," it's a license in its own right. You hold two licenses, CA and AZ. Letting your CA one lapse will not affect your AZ one.

You can always inactivate it as well. So if you decide you want to go back, it'll be easier to get it back to active status. Mind you, the renewal rate for inactive is almost the same if not the same. At least it is for the LVNs haha. CA is all bad.. but like the above poster mentioned, letting your CA license lapse, will not affect your AZ license at all.
