In my experience, PRN work is ideal if you want to be home most of the time and want some control over your schedule. I have five, and don't see how it's possible to actually work at home w/ a baby at home. Almost every mom I know--in any profession--who works from home has their small children in daycare; in fact, a lot of their employers REQUIRE them to have daycare (or a nanny, or stay-at-home dad) during working hours. Like Been there, done that said, from the employer's perspective, your attention is taken away from business operations if you are taking care of children during the hours they are paying you for.
To answer your question about working from home, some places that employ telephonic nurses allow remote working. I used to work w/ a woman who took in an adult medical foster care client when her kids were small because she wanted to be at home. One of my nursing school instructors did legal nurse consulting on the side.

I am wondering what jobs are available for BSN nurses who want to work from home. I would like a part time job. Because I have a baby, I am trying to avoid telephonic nursing and chart review that requires me to go onsite. Any suggestions?
I currently work PRN, so I am more of a stay at home mom. If I had a master's degree, I would try to teach online.
