Hello nurses. I am so confused right now. I applied in RN Heals and passed as well as in AFP RN Residency and both will start next year. If you are in my situation, what will you choose?

If i were you, i'd choose Rnheals, basically because it has a stipend for u to use, unlike in AFP Residency. i had also undergone that program of AFP. :)
Hello iampinaynurse! Thanks for replying. What can you say about the AFP RN Res.? Is it worth the 6 months? What are your chances to be a staff nurse in AFPMC after?

hello! what is the AFP residency program? care to share?
My 7 months there in AFPMC was great and really worth the wait. Though chances of being hired after the program is quite 50-50 since you have to have a padrino to support you. Haha. I think it really matters in that institution. But then the experience is really amazing since you will be treated a staff nurse there, the only difference was you don't have salary compared to their employees.
what certificate can you get after the program?
I got a certificate stating that i worked there as a staff nurse under the RN-Residency Program of the AFPMC-VLGH. My ward assignments and number of hours were also included in the certificate. The word "training" was never mention. :)

I'd choose RN Heals. It's one year worth of experience and I will be receiving monthly stipend. Then after my training, if ever I am not absorbed by the institution I trained with in RN Heals, I will go through the screening for AFP residency again.
Hello iampinaynurse. When did you have your training in AFP Residency program? May I know who is the Chief Nurse of AFP as of now? I don't know who to address in the application letter. THanks :)

Hi people. Im actually undergoing the training at afpmc right now. There's a qualifying exam on may but if you have a backer, even if you dont pass the exam, i even know some people who didnt took the exam. Just the interview. Im fortunately one of those who doesnt have a backer. :) just go there and if you pass the exam you will then be advised to complete the requirements.
