Hi Esme I have a permanent Visa . Applied and waiting on my SSN. So what you are saying is until i take the NCLEx i cant work??[/quote']You cannot work as a nurse until licensed as such. You cannot work in any capacity (nurse, janitor, etc)until you have a valid work visa and social security number. Most job applications will auto reject without valid work visa & SSN
Moved to our Nurse Registration area for best advice---see previous posts in this section.
You can work just not as a nurse until the state approves your license once met requirements and passed NCLEX. Permanent visa aka green card allows you to live and work in the US but RN requirements still have to be met in the same way some other professional occupations have to do so they can work.Hi Esme,I have a permanent Visa .
