I'm applying for the Generic Full Time RN program for fall 2014 (August). I took my NLN Pax exam already and got an overall score of 143. Curious if this will be goof enough to get in? Can't find any stats since the previous test was the TEAS... Looking forward to hearing back from anyone else that has taken the test already. Thx.
Just to let you guys know. If you ever plan on applying to fiu bsn program. If mdc doesnt work out.....let me give you a heads up. The program is SO competitive that a 3.7 science gpa is not competitive to be accepted. You have to aim for a 3.8 or above. Second, you have to take the entry exam called the hesi, which is extremely hard due to the fact that to pass the test you must atleast get a 80 or above. And 90 is competitive. Third, you have to do a video interview on why you wanna become a nurse. Yes people FIU bsn program is extremely hard to get in. But not impossible.
Yes im being serious. Yesterday was the 15 (deadline) itwas extremely packed. But you ladies worry too much. Just have faith and be positive. Im sure in june we all be accepted.
But it's difficult to take all this in especially when your advisor is saying there is more than a 1000 applicants and all these 4.0's. It really makes us feel as though are chances are extremely slim. But I'll forever keep the faith, whatever his will is. Keep the hope alive, ladies.
I agree, don't lose faith. I find it hard to believe that there are 1000 applicants and less than 300 available seats. That means about 700 people won't get in. So everyone that's majoring in nursing completed everything this fall and applied. Its too much to take in. All 200 of the extra applicants didn't get perfect scores and all of them aren't coming in with 4.0's.

By the way the advisor told me personally that this year 2014....is the most applications they EVER took in history. Meaning theres way more 1000 students applying. I was like, do people wanna become nurses for the money? Or cause they really do like it.
