Hello!!!
I'm a registered nurse in the Philippines and I'm currently applying for an immigrant visa to Canada. I've been looking for a state/territory that I could apply for RN eligibility exam while I'm still here in the Philippines. Could somebody suggest what state/territory I should apply where I can easily process my application.
Thank you so much!!! :)

First of all, Canada has provinces, not states. There is no place you can "easily" apply. You would have to contact the college of nurses(our licensing bodies are called colleges) in the province in which you want to work. They will assess your education and decide if you are eligible to write the CRNE. The process is lengthy, time consuming and costs money. Be aware that a BSN is the minimum requirement for licensure as am RN in Canada and nursing jobs are in short supply all across Canada. Many that are already licensed in Canada cannot find jobs.

As mentioned Canada has provinces and each province will have their own requirements. If you are already applying for a immigrant visa which province have you plans on moving to? That would probably be the best one to apply to because even if you register in one province and pass CRNE and then move to another province you still have to meet their requirements and let me tell you it isn't cheap. Will add this is the same for Canadian nurses that move provinces

Hi. The quota for RN applications for IENs under the Skilled Worker category is still closed. Here is a link for your reference.

If you are thinking of getting an agent from the Philippines, it will cost you. I advice you to Apply under the Skilled Worker category, when they start accepting once again maybe around June 2011. You can apply on your own. Forms and instructions are on the cic website. Good luck.

hi everyone!
I am just a newbie here in this website. I would like to ask some questions. Are you guys familar with Quebec Skilled Worker Program? I am planning to apply in this category coz the FSW program is already closed. What can you say about this program? Has anyone already applied without an agent?
hoping for your insights/ opinions.
Thank you very much!:)
