RN to BSN Program at CSU East Bay

U.S.A. California

Is anyone familiar with the RN to BSN program at CSU East Bay? I am an RN who is going to be moving to the bay area in the future and am curious as to how flexible the program is. I am familiar with Sac State's program - it is about 85% online and the professors are, apparently, very flexible with their schedules.

Any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated!!!

I just started the RN-BSN program you have two options intensive 1yr or slower 2yr... intensive option 1 course that is quarter length in class 2 days 2hrs each BUT you can challenge this course like two weeks in.......and then an online set of 3 3wk classes...2nd quater three classes they say will meet 2hrs/wk each and recomend you take a required elective this semester.....next the hardeest they say you will have a community health rotation 2 days 8-3 plus a lecture 2-4 on tues and they are not flex on days this time it is m-w final semester 3 non nursing classes I think all are offered online It is layed out on website if you would like further information

Hi, I know this post is over a year old by now, but I was just wondering how the program is going. I'm planning on applying for Fall 2011. Did the schedule work out like they said it would? Is it more online than on campus? Would you say the 1 year program is really intense? Any more info or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi,

Would love to know how the intense program is going? Is it possible to work full-time and complete the intense program?

Thanks!

Bump for the topic.

I'm having a hard time deciding between here and SJSU. I hear good things about CSUEB but more bad about the actual program at SJSU. How manageable would the program be for someone commuting from San Jose? Thanks

CSUEB has a better reputation. Actually Evergreen Nursing students are preferred over SJSU nursing students at their shared clinical sites.
