Has anyone had this happen?
Does that mean you lose your job if you don't get it?
I can't afford a college that is 30,000 a year, but the state college that might be around 3500 a semester may not accept me , as I had to stop out last year due to no money. Now they have such a waitlist, they're in no hurry to re-accept me.
What's a person to do?

I can understand the concern with the cost of tuition. That's why I decided to go with WGU
have you checked into that program?

There's a plethora of online programs that are very happy to have students in their RN-BSN courses....and at decent rates. Honestly, I can't think of ANYONE who has been rejected from any of them! If you have an RN license already, you've already got a nursing degree or diploma....hardly a big risk for these schools.
What is your concern about getting accepted? It's probably the easiest enrollment you'd ever have.
I was accepted 2 years ago. I actually only have 3 classes to go 'til I was done.
Apparently they didn't like that I stopped out for a year. Had to be re-admitted to the college( pay the entrance fee and all) and the college accepted me, but the Nursing program says they're now full , and the Chairperson said "I'll have to see run it by the commitee to see if we will re-approve you."
Kind of stinks. I think they're doing this now as so many ADN's are being told to get their BSNs- there's no shortage of applicants. Locally we still have one community college, but most nurses are graduating with BSN's in the first place.
Sorry, I'm not made of money. I had to have loans just to get the ADN Don't want to "owe " the company time and they only give you 3000/yr anyhow.
eta- one of the colleges that will accept my prior credits- just one class is about 5000 bucks

I will check into that. I wonder if they will accept prior credits/transfer.
Absolutely..they do!!
I just transferred credits towards the BSN from two previous colleges I attended.
There are specifics CUs that have to be taken at WGU. Best thing to do is give them a
call and talk with them about where you are and where you hope to be.
Hope this helps!!
