Riverside School of Health Careers RN program

Hello everyone!

I am looking for current, past, and even prospective students for Riverside's RN program. I will be applying for the September 2013 professional nursing program. For current or past students, what was your GPA and teas score? Also how was the program, instructors, clinicals? I did attend the last open house in December and I was hoping that a student or recent grad would be there to talk about their experience. I love how the instructors seem to be really supportive and the small campus also appealed to me. To other prospective students what start date are you applying to and do you have any other nursing/healthcare experience? Any advice or other information on the program is greatly appreciated! :up:

I didn't really use much loose leaf to take notes at all. I just added to the notes that we print out off of MOODLE. I highlighted in my book. I know some people would make outlines but I just thought that would be time consuming so I never did

I would skim the chapter before most lectures. I used folders, highlighted due dates in the syllabi, had a planner for school, wrote things on my calendar at home, and put reminders in my phone.

With notes I just printed them out as well and would add my own notes, highlight on the outline, highlight and occasionally write in the book. I started off writing notes and then use the outline to fill in anything I missed but it was too time consuming and I found myself missing something the instructor said and was not on the outline. I also recorded most lectures and it was helpful when I actually had the time to go back and listen to them, lol.

Oh yeah I would go back in the book after lecture and add stuff from the book if it wasn't written on my notes already. Really just on the topics on the outlines
