Hello,
I am curious as to if anyone else has applied or is applying at Riverside School of Health in Newport News VA for the 2012 LPN program? If so, have you been accepted yet? If anyone has already completed or currently attended Riverside's LPN program, I would love to hear any feedback/comments in regards to the program.
Thanks,
Heather
During my interview, I was told applicants are decided by TEAS score, GPA and interview. There is a max number of points you can score in each catagory. The top 35 applicants with highest total points are accepted. I just wish September was here already, this waiting game is killing me lol.
I believe my sister tried asking in her interview about how many applicants had applied but couldn't get an answer lol. Interview was pretty basic. Why Riverside, Why nursing and so on. Extremely nice interviewer and relaxed atmosphere. There were not any "mind boggling" questions like I have read some other individuals had through different schools .
I do my interview on Monday!!! I am so worried about the whole process. I passed my TEAS, but not with a score that I wanted. I wish I knew what other people were scoring and how many people have applied to the program. There were 24 in the test with me the other day and a couple of them were taking the test for the 2nd time. That test was crucial!!!!!
I did have my interview today and I think it went pretty well. Good luck on your test tomorrow just be calm and take you time!! I was a wreck for my test too, but I had to get over myself and calm down and it helped. I asked how many people have applied and she said around 60-65 people. They take the top 30-35 applicants. She said some of the people did not pass teh test on the 2nd try so that narrowed the number down from 65 people. She said we should know if we are accepted mid to late september and that we will get a letter either way. My bday is sept 24 and I just hope I don't get a denial letter that day!!!! This wait and see process sucks!! Good luck to you tomrrow jsut realx and take your time I found for myself that some of the questions appeared ahrder than they were.
WOW, 60-65!! That makes me nervous. I kinda wish my interview would have been towards the end of this month so that I didn't have to wait so long to find out final results. @Determined, best of luck to you on your exam. @misjmelyn, can you tell me what the program average is on your TEAS result sheet? I only have average for the school I took my test at here in Hawaii. Thanks
They said that the minimul score that you can get was a 55.6, but thats what is said for the program average as well. This girl that I know that is in the RN program there now said that there are people in her class that had to take the test 2x so I don't really think that it matters what you got it is what your overall score is and how well you win the over with the other areas. This is really wierd but are yall on facebook lol?
LOL not wierd. I have a facebook. (Heather Hinz)
I wonder if any college classes we have had count towards anything? During my interview, she said they look at GPA from highschool but nothing about college courses or GPA. Oh well, I guess we have done all we can do and now just wait and hope to get in
