Riverside LPN 2012 Program

Hello,

I am curious as to if anyone else has applied or is applying at Riverside School of Health in Newport News VA for the 2012 LPN program? If so, have you been accepted yet? If anyone has already completed or currently attended Riverside's LPN program, I would love to hear any feedback/comments in regards to the program.

Thanks,

Heather :D

I have applied to the Janiary 2012. Lpn program. I have not been accepted yet. I take my TEAS on Aug 8. I have heard really great things about the program. I work with nurses who went to Riverside and they loved it.

Hello misjmelyn! Thanks for the reply. I just took my TEAS exam on friday and submitted my scores to the school. I guess now I will go through the interview process and then hopefully recieve an acceptance to Riverside Scool of Health. (fingers crossed) Are you applying for the day or evening classes? I have applied for the day classes. Well good luck on your TEAS exam and with the acceptance process. Hopefully we will be able to meet in class! :D

I have applied to the day program. How was the TEAS exam? I am really nervous about it. I hope I get accepted! I am tired of being a CNA!!!!

Good luck to you too!!!

The TEAS was not to bad. Math, reading and english are all pretty basic and go by the TEAS V study guide book. Math is a bit tedious though. Some long division and multiplication so just watch your time on that section :) The science was the most mind draining. I had to really think back to my human a/p classes for a few questions. Brush up on anaphase/prophase, body systems, chemical equations, mitosis/meosis and phenotypes. I'm sure you will probably do great though! My younger sister is also trying to apply for the program and she takes her TEAS exam on the 3rd. By any chance do you know how many applicants they accept for the program?

Thanks for the info on the test. I have a TEAS book, but I think that it is for the RN program. I am more worried about the Math and some of the science. I am not sure how many applicants they accept or how many have applied. I have tried to ask, but they can't give me that info I guess.

Were there a lot of math conversions. What did you score on the test? I know the minimul score you can get is 55.6

Well each exam is different but i would reccomend studying percent, fraction and decimal conversions. Overall I scored an 80%. I have a phone interview with the school tomorrow morning and then I guess everything is in their hands on whether or not I get accepted into the program.

Well thanks for the info and good luck on your interview. Let me know how it goes.

Had my interview yesterday and I think all went well :). The lady that conducted the interview was very nice and made me feel at ease. It lasted for about 10 minutes and were just basic questions. She also told me that they accept 35 applicants but I didnt ask how many have applied.

Oh wow!!! Thats more applicants than I expected. I hope that your interview went well! I am still sooooo nervous! I want this more than anything!!! Hopefully we will get to meet each other in class!!!!
