Hello I wanted to start a thread for RCC Nursing Spring 2015!!!!! Anyone that will be applying to the program for spring 2015 lets get together to chat and support each other through this process!!!!! Good Luck everyone!!! Hope to see u guys in class next spring!!!:)

I don't have all of the books yet. Bought the Lippincott bundle and a handful of others but I also decided to wait on Eliopoulos. I'm all for staggering these purchases because I honestly don't have the funds to buy everything all at once.

Out of the list of recommended textbooks, if I'm not mistaken, we need the drug handbook right? Does anyone know which one is preferred?

Did anyone make it to the workshop today?

I must have been living in a cave because I was completely unaware there was one today (I'm thankful it was optional).

If anyone can please confirm what was discussed, I'd greatly appreciate it. í ½í¸Š

ALSO does anyone know if we will be paying for ATI every semester??

I didn't notice there was a deadline on there for ati but I just purchased it bc of the email that was sent. I was waiting because I didn't have the funds so I just put it on my credit card...

I think (and hope) the ATI payment is a one-time deal. Not entirely sure, though.

I didn't make the workshop cause I had to work. I think it was just a workshop about how to succeed in nursing. They gave us the handout at orientation. The ATI is a one time thing. If you didn't purchase it yet you'll have a late fee. I wish they went over that a little more. I didn't know it was a packet that we'd have to pick up from them. Good thing we got a email about it. And yes you need a drug handbook and the diagnosis book both are in the second bundle that comes with five books.

I was there and I found it to be a condensed version of nursing 84. I love our Dept Chair. Someone else dropped and I found out that I am next in line. I guess I am popular on this site because I had folks coming up to me introducing themselves LoL. Mindy I was looking for you. One of the girls told me she got all of her books from the publisher and Amazon. She said she saved about 200 bucks. So she was able to buy some of the recommended books.

I feel so blessed to know that I have both students and faculty praying and crossing their fingers for me to get in. Many I don't even know. :)

OMG Queen that's great news!! Almost there!! I wanted to go but I have to make that money so I can pay for those books lol. I got all the books besides two, I'm going to wait to get those for now. The bookstore is out of all the used books so yes you can get them on Amazon used for cheaper. Dis anyone pick up their ATI packages?

Yes they had tons of ATI boxes there and a lot of the students left with them. Well Hopefully I will meet you the first day Mindy. :)

I missed out on the workshop too but got the email & went down to see what I bought from ATI. oh. MORE BOOKS. yay.

Anyone successfully log onto their ATI account and access any course material?
