Hello everyone. I just wanted to start the thread for all the new applicants of RCC's Nursing Program for Spring 2014. This thread is to help each other stay current with old and new information about the program. Share your thoughts about the application process, teas V preparation, acceptance, and support group. Let the applications begin!!
I have several back up plans to choose from.
I've applied to Cal States as a Nursing major, and to UC's as a Public Health Major. Or I can decide to sign up for a CNA program(any reapply at RCC); or volunteer at a hospital.
If I decide to go for a BSN, I will finish my pre-reqs by spring 2014, volunteer, and re-take the TEAS exam. Unlike RCC, Universities take re-take scores. If not then, I will re-apply to other allied health programs such as radiology, RT, dental hygiene.
My plan sounds similar to you PR120, although this WAS my backup plan, since LLU did not accept me and I did not want to re apply there.
If I do not get in, than I'm going to re apply to other CC's since I am virtually done with everything, I have all the pre recs for the BSN as well. I'm just going to bite the bullet and apply to Cal Baptist (No longer do they want the Teas but it is something else now I just forgot) If not, Then I'm going to go into Occupational Therapy, and go from there.
