Riverside Community College fall 2014

Published

Just submitted my application for fall 2014 at RCC!! Waiting on receipt confirmation!

VaneD20 That is great you have your cna, because it really does help! You fly by the first month! Because it is stuff you mostly already know. If by chance you do not get in, do not give up, try to get points elsewhere maybe by making your gpa higher! It is honestly a great program, and from what I hear from faculty, and even those in the hospitals (Other RN's, and students) We have the best reputation in the area. So do not give up!!

Yes because I know what it was like not knowing, and I know other people from higher semesters were on here encouraging us, so I want to return the favor : )

I have 70 pts as well :/ I hope that somehow I get picked for standby or even wish the points cut off was lower haha. I am doing a clinical care volunteer program at RCH and I wish we got points for it but oh well lol

Peppercini08, that's great! I wanted to do that program, but my schedule was already slammed, I hear once you been there for x amount of time you can get hired there, idk if it is true, but I hear they pay their cnas very very well! Again, if you do not get in, do not give up! Try upping your points through your gen ed! Even having your foot in a hospital makes all the difference! So even if you have to wait, at least gaining that experience will help you in the long run! : )

Steph143 I love it. I get so much hands on experience. I was talking to the counselor about it and she was saying how its such a great program. I am glad that I did it because I am getting my foot in the door and I pretty much do cna work. I am working on upping my points but I am still optimistic about a miracle for this time around! :) but if I dont get in then there is always next time

Yes it helps, because if you decide to do your clinicals there they will already know you, and possibly even hire you as a RN once you finish. So that is a open door of opportunity! I wish you the best, what ever the outcome is : )

There is one in Riverside on Magnolia. It is called Best American Healthcare University. They have a 6 week program. You can do mornings or evenings. I think it's 8 hours a day. M-F. Cost is about $2,000. I think there is a cheaper one in San Bernardino, but it is longer.

Best American is the one I was looking at originally. Hopefully a miracle will happen and I won't have to but just incase i need to have options :)

I almost enrolled this past January. I was going to take it as a safety net, but I decided to wait and see how I did on the TEAS before spending the $2k. CNA is definitely an option though if you have the time and money. As for the cost of the program, it would pay off in the long-run.

Wow thats kinda pricey. I'm so glad I did the cna program while I was in HS! It was free for us, except for the test!

I wish they offered it in high school or I would have done it!

Pacific times health care college is the one I went to it is in Corona, right down the street from the Norco Campus. It was ehh. Because we were the 1st class, I've heard it is much better, and it is around 1600

They have a fast track one that is only 16 days. It is fully accredited.
