Anyone applying for RCC's Fall 2015 Nursing program?

Thought I'd start a thread to communicate about applying, TEAS, etc.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Pharm class will be offered in Winter session (per J.U.), which we already have off. In case some didn't want to take it concurrent next semester! See you all in like two weeks!

Hi everyone! I just found this thread and I am so happy to see that most everyone here got in after all that hard work and stress! I was accepted as well and have registered for the Kaiser Riverside rotation-- yay! I am beyond excited and can't wait to start classes with you all. I just received my uniforms (super cute) and clinicals bag yesterday but I didn't get any paper that lists all the items we should have received with the bag. Does anyone have such a list?

Hi! I'll be doing the Kaiser rotation too, so I'll see you a lot I guess :p

Yeah, no list here either, but I'm sure we'll go over what's supposed to be included in the bag either at Bootcamp or once the semester starts.

That's good to know since I don't think I'd be able to take it this semester at all because I still have to work. Hopefully, I can take it then.

Has anyone noticed how the assigned reading for the first and second week are exactly the same? what do you guys feel that means?

Caught that... I also noticed that our Fundamentals covers most of the Contemporary chapters (Evolution of Nursing/Founders).

I'm not completely sure, but I'm guessing these chapters are mostly trying to give you a feel of how the nursing field will be like. I saw a good amount of chapters covering history or mostly introductions.

Hey I found this thread a while back and I'll also be starting at RCC with you guys this fall! I was planning on going to boot camp today & tomorrow but I came back from vacation last night & I've been really sick ever since :( I don't think I'll be able to make it tomorrow either so I was wondering if anyone can just give me a quick run down of what was covered today and what ends up being covered tomorrow? I'm bummed I wasn't able to go and I don't wanna miss out on any valuable information! Thanks so much for your help and can't wait to see you guys soon :)

Hi Joanne_michelle they went over how to log in and use the course points, eportfolio, kaplan, and they also went over some study skills for nursing.

Not all the applicants got in i think there were over 400 and 80 got accepted, but everyone who was talking on this post got in! :)
