Riverside Community College Fall 2015 RN

Published

Anyone applying for RCC's Fall 2015 Nursing program?

Thought I'd start a thread to communicate about applying, TEAS, etc.

Wait, why do we have to have two TB tests done? Is that what option A is? Can't we have option B instead?

Thanks! So glad I got a jump start. I just gotta call and make sure it's ok that I did everything under VN in complio or if I have to change and upload it all to RN.

Are you guys leaning towards cohort A or B? I like that cohort B has an extra day off because they extended another lecture day to make up for it.

@soloreo it's two Tb test... Exact same test done both times but have to be at least 1 week apart and no longer than 21 days (double check the 21 days deadline).

It does say you can get B instead though. Not sure how that test works.

I believe they test your blood for immunity or something like that

I was thinking A because you go five days but you don't stay as late. How about you guys?

I thought option B was just the regular Tb test one time?

Hey guys is there already a tentative schedule for the Fall that you are all referring to? Where can I check out the differences between Cohort A and B? Are you guys referring to the previous schedule as a guide? Thanks guys your all so great can't wait to meet everyone !😄

OK I see the course schedule I didn't know they had it up already lol

Yeah it's up. I don't think they have posted the exact clinical locations though.

Tash, did you reply to the VN offer and deny it after you were offered the RN? I don't know how to deny my VN offer I'm scared they will think i'm rejecting the RN one.

I saw the schedule too! I think I'm leaning towards cohort B. The hospital selections are listed in the 3rd rotation so far riverside community and park view. Wow I can't believe how fast time is moving. It feels like we just started this thread yesterday! Do you guys know if we have to meet with RCC's health office again after we new met with the dr for the physical? For the kaiser people how was the physical? Did the Dr sign all of the paperwork at that time? I go on Monday.

were we required to meet with the health office before starting everything?

were we required to meet with the health office before starting everything?

I don't believe so because if you have a different insurance provider that you use then I didn't think you needed to. I finished uploading all of my documents on the American Databank profile and all documents submitted have been approved. The only one is the second TB which I have to have read on Sunday. But I believe you don't have to meet with the health office, if you have your own insurance and are doing things elsewhere. I did however call to ask them if I could have everything done with Kaiser my provider, and they walked me through the things to make sure and get. Hope that helps.
