Anyone applying for RCC's Fall 2015 Nursing program?

Thought I'd start a thread to communicate about applying, TEAS, etc.

Thanks for the positivity. I know people get in with 75 so I'm still going to remain positive until I know for sure. This is something that I really want so no matter the outcome I will still continue to try! Back to school for me...lol congrats to all of you who scored the points you needed!!!

Don't kick yourself in the ass, you're going to look back and laugh/cry when you receive that acceptance letter!!!! We got this. Congrats for doing so good☺️☺️

Thanks Dvdbemt! You're so right!!!

Congrats everyone on your scores!! I didn't do as well as I had hoped.. 73% 🙈 the reading killed me.. I went in with 55 points so now I'm at 80 as well! June can't come soon enough! I hope we all get in too everyone seems like a great group! :)

@sammyjoe11 you got this! I think I read last fall someone with 70 points got in so don't worry we are all here to show you support!

I just discovered this thread so I'm a little late to the party. I'm wondering what elae they look at when deciding who to admit. I did pretty well on the teas I took yesterday but I freaked out a little during the math and couldn't finish. I was suprised to aee a decent score today but it brought up an ugly truth. Math flips me out. I dropped mat 35 3 times and had had to petition to take it a fourth. I got an A but when they look at my transcript its not going to look good.

Thanks for the support and congrats mrspz! You guys are great!!! It ain't over til it's over.....I'll be hanging on until the end!!!! Fingers crossed and hopeful!

Hey, so they look at the classes that you filled out on your application, so they don't take your whole transcript into consideration. How many points are you applyting with overall?

Yessss you are exactly right @sammyjoe11! I don't know about anyone else but (I'm already terrible at reading) & I feel like all I could focus on was the sound of everyone clicking their mouse! 🙈 it was terrible hahah

Yeah what @lunalovegood25 said I feel like they will just look at the last attempt with the grade you have I'm sure you will be okay but you can always call to ask them they're pretty helpful with answering any questions

I'm not sure, I had A's in all my sciences and A's in all of my my other prerequisites except english and speech. I'd have to do the math and I don't want to do the math because I hate math but I'm pretty sure I get 20 points there so I have 95 points going in. I know like that sounds like I should just not worry but my anatomy teacher let it slip in class once that she sat on the committee that selects applicants and she mentioned looking over transcripts..the whole transcript. BTW, My grades are only that good because it took me 4 years to get my classes done thanks to life being a giant pain in my posterier. I took one science at a time except for any-2b and micro and that semester I only worked part time.

@Mrspz I feel you, the math almost had me in tears, mainly because I sat next to someone who breezed through hers. All I could hear was her pencil quickly and neatly scratching out the problems and then "click" goes the mouse. I was doing my best not to go fetal under the desk. I ran out of time on the math and had to randomly click the last four.

I really think you should be fine! 95 points is amazing! You're in for sure! You can always set up an appointment with them to go over your points but I am sure you are safe! But yeah I guess that was our nerves setting in with the subjects that scare us! Haha
