Thanks so much for the insight and congratulations on almost being done, how exciting!! Any tips or advise for us soon-to-be new nursing students?

Thank you! Yes, treat this like a full time job :) even if you are done with class early or only at school for one seminar, still treat your day like a full 8 hour work day and go to the library and study. I have done this all 2 yrs and it has done me very well. So tell everyone in your family that you are unavailable monday to friday. On the weekends I dedicated saturday to my kids and sunday I worked. And to be honest if I had an exam on monday, then I had my kids play while I attempted to study. My advice, especially if you have kids is to study at the library, starbucks, or panera. Being at home is more distracting because there will always be things needing cleaning, a load to be washed, kids asking you for something lol it doesn't work! This is why I highly advise you to treat monday to friday as a full time job and even though you want to rush home to family, trust me when I say the sacrifice is worth it. When it got rough and I felt like a "bad mom" for being away so much, I reminded myself that I would feel worse if the time spent away from them was not made worthwhile because I failed. Succeeding was the reward for them and myself. Get yourself a good planner that you will find easy to keep track of life in lol trust me it will save you.

Wow! It is honestly so inspiring hearing from students in the program, especially those getting ready to finish. Congrats! I am so glad that your hard work paid off for you.

Thank you so much! This will be you soon too, you'll see.

Oh on a side note, I went back on my pictures I posted on social media when I got in (no judgement lol) and it said December 18, 2015 is when I received my invite to the program. By that time nursing students are done with their classes so I'm thinking they wait for the semester craziness to end before they send out the invites. My final is next monday so I'm thinking you all will hear something around that time, maybe mid next week? Hope that helps :)

I called the office and they said we should get an email between December 15-22. Good luck everyone

Did anybody apply to other schools? If so has anybody been accepted/invited to another program?

Has anyone heard back for Spring 2018? I'm anxiously waiting and hold 70 points.

Yes @soontobeRN I got accepted to Mt. Sac's program but I'm waiting to see if I get into RCC's program since it's my first choice. How about you?

No, I just applied to RCC. So did you have to take both the HESI & TEAS?

Yes I took both. I spoke to Steven Purdy 2 days ago and he he said the last of the acceptance emails should be sent out by the 15th. So we will find out soon enough if we get it!

I'm in for this Spring. I was previously accepted but had to defer due to pregnancy. I'm praying for y'all. I remember the waiting game, it was very stressful.

Yes, I got accepted into College of the Desert. I accepted the offer, but now I'm waiting for RCC since its also my first choice. The commute is a lot closer than the Desert as well. I'm hoping we all get in!

So all emails will be sent out on the 15th right? I read a comment on here saying the last of the emails, have they alrealdy started sending them?
