Hii all, i've been driving myself crazy checking my email to see if i've been accepted into Rio Hondo's LVN-RN bridge program for 2016! They told me to call if I haven't heard anything by Mid-November. Has anyone gotten their acceptance letter yet??

mid-november? they told me they send out the acceptance letters around dec-january. our chances are based on whoever does not make it into the 2nd year from the generic program anyways, best of luck to you!
Really? Thats strange...I think that the transition course starts in spring (January) and they want you take the TEAs prior to make sure you can be accepted.
aw man, now im all antsy haha. thats what i remember them telling me. ill probably call them about it soon.
What was your application like? Grades and extras? I have all A's in the pre-reqs, Associates in Science, and a 3.6 GPA overall. 1000 plus hours of experience in Acute care...I wish i had turned in a paper regarding hardships, but didn't! Now i'm regretting it! I'm so stressed about not getting in.
Wow, you seem overqualified. im sure you're one of the top candidates then! I have 2-3 years of being a nurse, 2 A's and 1 B in my pre-reqs and 3.7 GPA overall. I turned in copies of pay stubs showing that i was working while taking my pre-reqs and wrote a personal statement/hardships. Hopefully I have a shot in being selected.
We sound about that same! I just called to verify when the acceptance letters will be going out. You are correct, not until mid-decemeber or so. The transition course will be the last 8 weeks of the spring semester!
Oh okay thank you! Best of luck to you!

Hey guys, I too am waiting to hear back from Rio Hondo's bridge program... Initially I was told that we would find out whether not we were excepted at that end of November. I called yesterday and the lady in the nursing department said that we won't get notice to the bridge program until the end of December or early January. The number of spots that will be available is determined by the number of students failing out of the generic ADN program.
Did you guys apply to any other schools?
I guess we're all getting different responses from them. Ill probably call soon to ask them myself haha.
I applied to Mt San Antonio College and PCC but I only applied to their generic programs. Rio Hondo is the only place where I applied for the bridge program so I'm really hoping I get in.
Hi all,
I received my letter today that I have been accepted as an Alternate in the bridge program! Has anyone else gotten a letter? Do they all say Alternate until we know how many people in the generic program have failed out..or am I really just hoping some people who got accepted don't take the spot? It's just as nerve wracking as waiting for a letter all together! =/
