Is anyone taking this class now? I'm scheduled to take this class in the second 5 weeks of this quarter.

I'll be with you in this class. Lets hope it easy! :)

The syllabus can be viewed in the RN to BSN Knowledge Center. The mid term and final are proctored. Has anyone used the nurse educator at their hospital to proctor an exam? I've never had to do this before. I have a feeling this class is not going to be easy.

hmmm. I still need to take statistics. I dropped it this 5 week section because I'm taking 330 and 335. I was worried that also taking statistics would just put me over the edge. I looked at the syllabus, when I read 2 proctored exams, I dropped it. I am the educator in my department so that wouldn't work for me....I guess I could have it sent to another educator. There is something on the form and talks about educators. I'll have to read it again.

I may have to look at other electives if this course is overly challenging. I don't want to take a hard elective...the 'ol basket weaving 101 comes to mind! Basically, I'm only trying to complete the requirements and need no extra stresss. Thanks for discussing this. What are the options for 5 weeks? Anyone?

I don't know about OU's options - but I took anthropology and I LOVED it!!

Can anyone tell me the easiest way to figure out which 5 week courses satisfy the cross cultural requirement?

From the university catalog page. Cross Cultural perspectives are designated 2CP - scroll down the page and you will see a list of these classes. HTH

I was tempted to ask one of my kid's teachers proctor me, but I did not think it would be appropriate. ;) So, I called the local JC. They charge $15/hr! My midterm is set for Friday. Let me just say one thing about stats...I have never felt so stupid in all of my life. Really. I sometimes just look at the page and think what the heck is that and how am I supposed to solve it?! I could not drop it though because I only have a few classes left and one of them has stats as a prerequisite. Look into taking it locally. From what I have heard that is a great option as most places do curve. I was told by my TA, that the OU instructor F does not curve. So, I'm dragging along with a 85 right now...hoping for the best.

For those of you that still need stats, I took it elsewhere. It was a go at your own pace class - you can take up to 14 weeks, or get it done as fast as you want. I completed the entire course in less than a month. I had never had stats before at all, and I actually understood most of it - and ended the class with a 96% - no curve. If you want info - pm me.

I also took my extra basket weaving classes as intercessions - 10 days each class, for 3 credits. EASY PEASEY! They have a spring intercession coming up if you want info on that school as well. I took my humanities, sociology, and fine arts there! They also had nutrition and a few others.
