Review Process w GA BON - "yes" to arrest?

Published

Hi... Does anyone know how does the review process work for someone that has to mark "yes" on the arrest question of the application?

I can not seem to get a clear answer. Everyone I talk to responds differently. It was an underage drinking charge from over a decade ago. I sent in court documents saying there is no record and my personal letter about the situation. I am not worried if the board will "ok" it, as it's not a serious charge, my questions are about the process...

Questions:

1. Will this HAVE to go to a board meeting? Or are there certain parameters, like this old, non-significant charge, that a secretary or board processor can just deal with and "ok"?

2. If it must go to board, will it go to the board before I get my ATT or do I get the ATT, pass NCLEX and then the entire file will go before the board?

Any info or insights would be appreciated THANKS!

Basically, I am just trying to determine if there is going to be a hold up will it be before or after testing? I am just anxious to test and don't want there to be a delay in testing. I can be more patient waiting on a liscense number knowing the test is behind me, rather than waiting to test. :)

Most likely no. I was in a similar situation (won't go into detail) and Ga BON completely overlooked it. All I did was sent in an explanation letter and supporting court documents and I was fine. I've been licensed and working since January. Not an issue at all.
