My admissions contact was Vickie and she was very helpful, too. I can't wait to start school, I hope to see you there!! I didn't qualify for any grants, I just got $7500 in federal loans and had to finance the rest in private loans. I agree that going to RETS is probably the fastest way to go to become a nurse. Thanks!! I already have filed taxes and have my FAFSA complete and added RETS to the school part. Hopefully they'll pay enough to make it possible. I probably won't qualify for financial aid until JUly because I am currently enrolled at Miami and have used it there. I am so frustrated going to school and feeling like I'm going no where. I am dedicated and want to get this done already!! Hopefully being in school for three years full time will help out. I work in a psych ward at an area hospital so I'm in the field I want to be in as a PCA...I just want more!! :) Thanks for the help, Diane is who I'm meeting with and she sounded so nice and listened to me vent about my frustrations....I hope it all works out!!

If I can work it out, I will go days. I don't qualify for financial aid for first quarter because I used it for Miami. I am currently enrolled at Miami and would have to withdraw from my courses to attend RETS which is fine just to get it done!! I'm just afraid if I withdraw from Miami it will harm my financial aid availibility later on. Decisions Decisions!! I hope to be there though!!

When is the quarter over? Or has it not started. As long as you haven't started the class, you can drop them without penalty from financial aid.

ETA: if you don't successfully complete 75% of your enrolled classes that you were unable to drop, you will be placed on academic probation. from my understanding.

It started January 14th (We have semesters at Miami). The last day to drop a course is March 24th. So I'm still in the time frame, but just want to make sure that it won't hurt my ability to recieve financial aid for RETS in the following quarters. I know I probably used all of the financial aid with MUM so I won't be able to get it for first quarter at RETS, but I should for the following if I don't mess it up!!

i am so glad i found this!!! i am real new in the process, just took the hesi today( didn't pass the math) taking it again on monday. wish me luck?

so, i dont know anyone, but i am hoping to start in april day class, i live in xenia, have two children and a dog and cant forget the pregnant cat!

Good luck on taking the math part again. Did you buy the study book they offered? I'm starting April day class, orientation is actually this coming Tuesday March 25. Have you done any financial aid stuff yet? I guess it's possible to start in a week but whew that's cutting it close. Best wishes!

Yes! Definately got the study guide, I have done quite a bit of the Fin. Aide stuff I am actually waiting to meet with RETS on some of it. I completed the FAFSA and got a reply real quick.... A week is close and I am totally feeling it. I have so much going on this week and lots of pressure, Thanks! for the luck!

Yes I will be there. Everything is so last minute for me though I could just freak!! I took the HESI Friday and passed all of that. Still need my background check (which I'll probably get tomorrow) and physical. Then I'm done. I am SO nervous!! This is a big move for me.

Just Finished the Math retake- Passed! Yeah! :yeah:

Looks like I may be waiting for the August class to start, with orientation at 9am, I still need to get my BCI and physical, looks like even with all the rushing around I will need some time.... Sucks but its Ok! I need to work a little longer getting things ready at home, this is a huge step for me and well lots 2 do! You guys Rock this class and I will chat at you later!!
