Retaking TEAS V

Published

So I have about 5 weeks to study to take the TEAS again.

This was my first attempt I'm not proud of because I didn't take it seriously:

Adjusted Individual Total Score:

60.7%

ATI Academic

Preparedness Level:

Proficient

Mean - National:

64.3%

Mean - Program:

70.6%

Percentile Rank - National:

40

Percentile Rank - Program:

21

I need to score at least a 88-90% on adjusted score. :/ The problem is how do I study? I have the ATI study manual from the website and the MCGRAW 5 TEAS practice exams.

How do I focus or even start?

Maybe you got so nervous during the exam. Just calm, I know time is important. Did you take practice test on ATI website ? You pay for it I think

NCLEX not as hard as TEAS?

I meant TEAS is way easy than nclex.

I took teas got 60, never studied for it. For into nursing school and finished with honors! People studied and did the same or worse.. The teas is nothing like nursing school. Just because u can't do well on the teas has nothing to do with how u will do on nclex or nursing school. Keep trying and good luck !

I took both tests in the ATI maunal. I didn't know whether or not it was necessary to have both the study guise with the practice tests and to buy the practices tests as well. So as as nerves, I felt fine going into the test, and I actually thought I did well, until I saw my score.

Nursewr. That's great. I don't believe it does either. There are people that are great at school, but when it comes on to actually being in the field, they can't handle it. I have 10 yrs experience in healthcare, and I don't think the teas determines whether I would be a good nurse. When I was in medical assisting school, I probably got 2 c's the whole program. Another girl in the class, got A's on everything, but was not great at the hands on parts of the course.

I used the online practice test. I scored a 71.3% overall. Very bummed about this, but I definitely suggest using the online practice tests. I got a 68% the first practice and a 95% the second time. I figured that the average of those two scores would be my score so... I wasn't too super shocked. Good luck the second time around!
