Nursing Students NCLEX

How to apply for re taking of nclex exam? do we go directly to pearson or back to the BON? thanks..

You have to apply to the BON again, and pay their fee, as well as pay the fee for the exam again to Pearson-Vue. Both need to be done.

Your state will need give approval to Pearson-Vue again for you to get the ATT, the original one is now void since it was used.

But nothing can be done until the waiting period is over for your state, all are minimum of 45 days........check with your state to find out their time frame for retesting.

hi suzanne... I'm also applying for retesting, having failed the first time :icon_sad:

when you say nothing can be done, do you mean I can't re-schedule for the next 45 days, or do you mean I can't even pay BON for the next 45 days?

and also, do we make a new pearson account?

You cannot do one thing until the 45 days are up. That is the waiting time.

Hi,

Just wanted to make a comment. I failed NCLEX twice. While I waited my 45 days, I was able to pay my $200 dollars to Pearsonvue, and also pay the state fee while I waited. So by the time their done processing the paperwork, and 45 days pass, I don't have to wait additional time for my ATT appointment.

They just won't issue the ATT until your 45 days are through and all your paperwork, including resubmitting your picture, etc.. is processed.

Right now, I checked my state website and all my paperwork has been processed. However, Jan. 1st is when my 45 days are complete, so I won't get my ATT until after that date. Also, I am working on Suzanne's first step, so I won't be taking it until probably March, but my ATT will be done and out of the way.

Hope that Helps...
