Resurrection University ATI exam update

Starting Fall 2015, Resurrection University will not have the ATI exam pass or fail. Currently even if you are earning an A in the course such as Pharmacology, if you fail the ATI for Pharm, you automatically fail the class. This is no longer the case, effective Fall 2015. This is a wonderful thing to happen for new comers to the program.

I am a current student at RESU, ABSN. I am in my 2nd semester. This is a extremely fast pace program and requires a huge commitment. I am in the day (full time) program. The classes last 6 week, ATI is the 6th week and finals are the 7th week. It's a hard program and difficult to get back on track once you fall behind. I suggest make friends with your peers because you will not have much of a life outside of this school. The study lounge is so small, its it s ridiculous for the amount of tuition we pay. However, I find the clinical experiences to be the most valuable aspect this program offers. The teachers try to educated you, but it's a difficult task to really teach you in an accelerated program. Prepare yourself to learn 10 chapters of material in 1.5 weeks and be tested on it...ridiculous, but its doable.

Enjoy!

I start in May for he evening program. How are your clinicals? I have heard mixed reviews on them at Resu, but it seemed to be that only the students doing bad are complaining about them.

Flydon, I wish you good luck.

Thank you!

Also, I am not sure about the update with the ATI pass or fail change. I had orientation a couple of weeks ago and the school made it seem like we were going to have these tests still, and if we didn't pass then we could fail the class. One of the staff members from student services said that they started the ati testing because the nclex rates weren't as high before. I would assume they wouldn't stop with the pass fail system. He also said that because of this pass fail rule they have, it makes it a lot easier to pass the actual nclex.

Flydon, I went thru all ur previous posts and I see many untrues. Looks like u are either one of the faculties, staffs, or someone asked to do this. Where is integrity in all dis? Why are u doing this?

I'm sorry what?

I am not a staff member lillian. Most of my posts are questions besides this ati post. Which I see was in February but I had orientation at the end of April and they talked about how we had to take he tests and pass otherwise we fail. I'm by happy about it haha but I mean that's what they told us
