You need to contact the BON and they will tell you how to apply for licensure. If you go to the website the requirements will be listed. You may want to do a search on here and read up on the issues that IENs had when trying to gain a nursing license in California. What kind of visa are you going to California on?

I completely agree with the person who posted about me: contact the California BRN and get started on the process now. There are some very significant challenges that are associated with nurses, particularly from the Philippines, getting licensed as an RN in California. It has to do with the educational requirements that California has, and it is very specific as to what they require. If you can ensure that you actually meet all of their educational requirements, you will have a much easier time getting licensed in California.
I'm not saying that you should not try, I'm saying that you should get everything taken care of before you begin the process of moving to California. Otherwise, it will be a very frustrating move and time for you. I believe that in the "international nursing" forum here is a number of threads that are devoted to the issue of Filipino nurses and California licensure.
I wish you all the best, and I hope that you have a relatively smooth and easy transition from the Philippines to California.

Make sure that you have a valid SSN as it's a requirement, forget about looking for any sort of hospital sponsorships, it's not going to happen.
Kababayans, please have a back up plan as the CA BON has been closing their doors to the vast majority of PH grads and nurses especially if one got their BSN between the years of 2004 to present (even those with 2012 degrees) have been denied due to the concurrency rules or lacking of certain courses or insufficient clinical hours. CA and 13-14 other States are enforcing the concurrency rules that's been in their policy for decades.
Getting an out of state license and trying to endorse or transfer back into CA will no longer work either, as CA BON and other states are closely reviewing the transcripts and will most likely be rejected and a waste of time and money.
For now, other CA applicants being denied, are trying to get their ATT to become an LVN, then try to enroll in a LVN-RN bridge program or try to enroll in approved CA schools that are very expensive and hard to get into but there's been no one reporting they are actually enrolled yet.
Kababayans, read ALL the threads posted in the World forum, under "Nurse registration", lots of good reads over there.
But here's one on the concurrency: [COLOR=#003366]https://allnurses.com/nurse-registrat...ew-631735.html
