How do we know which recruiting agencies are reputable, and will come through with what they have promised? I currently live in the US, have my employment authorization, I have already applied for CVS and I have not applied to take the NCLEX, because I need more time to Prepare; however, I need to work . Do you think that I should sign up with an agency to get me a limited permit, where I can work whilst I prepare to take the NCLEX-RN?

You cannot get a limited permit until you actually have the CVS completed and accepted by NY. The lomited permit in NY requires that you have taken and passed the CGFNS exam. That is a requirement of it, and the limited permit means that you have met all requirements for licensure except for taking the NCLEX-RN exam.

The reputable facilities want to see that you passed the NCLEX exam, most will not even consider you for a position until you do that. If you already have authorization to work, I suggest that you focus on getting the NCLEX-RN exam done...............if you go the limited permit route, you are going to need to take the CGFNS exam..............

thanks for all the indfo.a company is offering those services, but to start out i need to pay $2,000. but they say I will be able to start working by the end of september. They say i will be able to get a limited permit. But now I'm having second thoughts about the company. I wish I had somebody that I can e-mail that knows more about these stuff, to show the contract and stuff that they want me to sign.

Sorry, but they are giving you incorrect information. And therefore lying to you. You can not get a limited permit until you have the CVS done and approved and accepted by NY. That is the requirement from them, as well as having thre CGFNS exam completed.

There is no way around that, and they will have you working in a nursing home for $7 per hour. Run as fast as you can from them. If it sounds to good to be true, it always is.

I will be happy to take a look at the contract for you, do not sign it. They are taking advantage of you, and are only going to cause more problems for you. They expect that you will not be checking up on them.

And if you do not believe me, you just need to go the website for NY BON and they will clearly state what the requirements are.

And matter of fact, this supposed agency needs to be reported to the NY BON, as well as the Attorney General for NY.

I recently past the NCLEX-RN test and got my license to work in Georgia. I am a foreign nurse and need someone who is willing to sponsor me. I am trying to find hospitals or agencies sponsoring for foreign nurses in Georgia?
