I didn't think so and graduated nursing school 32 years ago and never worked maternity! Studied 2 weeks and got a B - easiest one so far for me!!! :)

I would not hesitate to put as much effort into it as you think you will need once you start going through the study outline. You never want to sell yourself short on any of these tests.

I agree with caliotter! Some people said that A&P was "easy" for them, yet as i studied it's been increasingly "HARD" for ME! Just do your best! I know before i took H&S there were people that said it was sort of difficult and that one i found very basic...i passed a friend of mine failed...so you just need to put as much effort into as you would if you KNEW it was hard! Better safe than sorry...especially with how much these exams cost! =) hugs and good luck!

I thought it would be hard so I studied for 2 months got a B wasnt as hard as I thought...Im learning to just follow the content guide....
Thanks to all who responded to my question. I am going by the content guide and I usually study way to hard but I want to know my stuff when I go in to take the tests. I have passed the first 3. My first one I got a C but did not do the practice test and did not know what to expect. Since then I buy the practice tests and got B's :) on the last 2 I have taken. Im so excited and motivated to get this done. Ive been thinking about doing the BSN program next.

If you studyied the assessment, diagnoses, interventions, abnormals and treatments you will do fine...have you taken the practice exams they seemed to help me at least getting into the realm of the form of questions...I found the questions on the actual exam to be hard but Im glad I did the practice exams....You may also look an EC's EPN board alot of students have quesitons and post them there...also they have a scheduled time for Nursing theory discussions...I dont have much experience in Maternity...When I finished the exam I thought I had failed and then the women handed me my grade I almost fell through the floor...It happened to be a "B" I couldnt believe it...Best wishes Donna :)

I was the EXACT same way!
I have not taken the practice exams yet. I like to read all the chapters and study a bit before taking them. I thought I failed the last exam Transition to RN role and ended up getting a B. I have 7 more chapters to read and I will be ready for the practice exams. I dont think this test will be so bad. I remember alot of the info from LPN school.
