Renewing my license with the new MiPlus

Very frustrated. I cannot figure out how to renew my RN license. Anyone renewed their license with their new database.

What an absolute nightmare of a system.

I finally was able to renew my license, but not without serious issues.

I renewed my license back in February. I had to sign up for a new account. I did this with an email that I have used to renew the last three times. I received a receipt showing that I paid, to this email address. Since doing this, I have not been able to login with this email address; I request to reset it and no email comes through.

As of a week ago, I still did not show a license, and had not received my new license. I attempted to call the MIPlus line, and emailed with no results. So, I emailed the governors office and my local rep's office to complain.

Within 24 hours of doing so, I had my license. However, it was sent to an old email address, AND it had a mailing address on it that I haven't used in over 7 years. Where are they getting this outdated information?! What database are they pulling this from? I know that they had my correct address, because my renewals the last two times came to my correct address, and they have it listed.

Then comes the kicker. The state's response to my rep was that there are known issues, and that basically they rolled it out to the health professions first to play guinea pig games with us. Their response to me, is that basically I am an idiot, do not know how to register my email address or access the website. They claim that they have no knowledge of my updated email address, even though I am certain that I registered for the MiPlus website AND received my receipt to the new email address.

I am in the process of drafting a letter to send regarding all of this including screen shots and error issues. I strongly encourage all of you with issues to contact your state representatives.

I am also fully aware that I will probably be audited now, so I have all of my CEU stuff ready to send out when they pull this, due to the "trouble" I have caused.

What an absolute disaster.

This is the dumbest website ever, can't even get into it. Followed all steps the must takes me back to start.

I just logged on to Lara to renew my RN and NP license. I am totally lost. I can log in on that site, is there another MIPlus website I need to go to? I don't have this PIN everyone is talking about. How do you even start!!

Did you get help? Do you have a phone number? I just logged on the LARA site and can't get anywhere!!!

oops wrong thread

I do not like the new MiPLUS License renewal process. I can't tell if I need to renew or not. I can't tell how to navigate, or if I've done anything appropriately. I'm just going to go to Lansing, walk up to the desk, and interact with a Human Being.

I am also very frustrated because I cannot figure out to use the portal. I have tried calling several times and just keep getting a message to call back later. The time is running short, and I don't want to pay late fees.

I also have been trying and after entering information I get an error code so I can't go any further much less actually pay to get my license renewed. I don't even have a pin number. What a mess! Tomorrow I will have to call them.

Whoa! just noticed (not quite bright, me) the license is good for three years:yes:

Mine is good for 2 years; 2020.

I have been trying to renew my Practical Nursing License since 11:00 am and have just gotten nowhere. With the LARA application it only took a few minutes. This new way is ridiculous. Please fix it! I tried in February and got the same run around.
