Remington School of Nursing - Jan 2016

Hi all! I was curious if anyone is applying for the January 2016 accelerated program at Remington College School of Nursing in Lake Mary, FL. I believe I handed in all of the paperwork. I called and said they were waiting on my transcript to be received and it's on the way.

Does anyone know how long it takes for them to make a decision? I know the early app deadline is October 5th, but I'm wondering how soon after it will be.

Did my phone interview this morning with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) only since (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) was out sick. She informed me that packets with final decisions are being sent out tomorrow! I don't think this pertains to everyone though, probably just people who received provisional approval.

@lbfbsn I hope you hear good news from them soon! I don't know how they review applications but hopefully they just haven't gotten to yours yet.

Hello everyone I'm glad to see others have applied to this school. Seems almost impossible in NY.

I'm going to apply for July hopefully still have 2 pre- reqs to finish. If someone would be brave enough to please

tell me what there grades and teas exam scores were like who were accepted that would be great. I want to have an estimate of what they are looking for. Please help!

Hi @lbfbsn! I had my interview on Friday with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME). It's pretty painless. Here's a run down:

* Tell me about yourself and why you chose Remington

* Rate yourself on certain skills: technology, science, reading comprehension

* How well do you feel your science prereqs prepared you for nursing school?

* Words/phrases that you feel describe a nurse

You have an opportunity to ask questions at the end. Good luck! See everyone in January! :)

Hi! My overall GPA is 3.15, science GPA 3.9 and TEAS 84. Remington looks at the overall person (experience, volunteer work, recommendations, etc) and not just your transcripts. One of the things I really liked about this program is that you're not just a set of figures you put into an online app. Good luck!

Finally received my packet in the mail today. Everyone accepted should be getting theirs within the next couple of days! Only 2 months till classes. So excited to start
