Hi all! I was curious if anyone is applying for the January 2016 accelerated program at Remington College School of Nursing in Lake Mary, FL. I believe I handed in all of the paperwork. I called and said they were waiting on my transcript to be received and it's on the way.
Does anyone know how long it takes for them to make a decision? I know the early app deadline is October 5th, but I'm wondering how soon after it will be.

Hi @bkgiant! I applied to the program as well! Good to find someone posting about this! I met with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME), the admissions coordinator, this summer. I've been following some boards from previous cohorts and if you have everything in by October 5th and meet the requirements, you will be contacted to schedule a phone interview pretty soon after the deadline. The decision for early admission is pretty quick as long as you exceed the minimum requirements. Good luck!
Good to see another Remington applicant on here! Thanks for the reply. I haven't met with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) but I have talked to her on the phone. I've had everything completed for around a month or two now and I'm so ready to find out if I got accepted! Ended up getting an 83 on the TEAS and didn't bother retaking. I just hope that it's enough!
Good luck to both of us!

Hello!
I applied for Jan 2016 as well. I have been e-mailing back and forth with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) for weeks. She has been very helpful so I'm trying not to bother her now while I wait for a call. Has anyone had their interview yet??
Not yet! I emailed (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) Monday to see if I could get a timeline from her. She said the committee would be meeting in the next couple of weeks and we'll get an email with dates/times available for phone interviews. Fingers crossed!
Hey there! Wondering if you received the email to schedule your interview yet. Hoping it's this week so we can get this over with! :)

Hi everyone,
I am applying to this program for January as well.
Does anyone already live in the Central Florida area?
Are you guys planning on using private loans?
Judging by the previous year's thread, we should be getting decisions/emails around November 4th I believe. Some people had a decision before even doing the interview!
Ok @bkgiant the anticipation is killing me. Have you heard anything about scheduling your interview yet? :)
Hi @lowins! I live in Central Florida. And I'm exploring my options for loans. I've heard that NurseCorp is a good option -- but you have to make a 2-year commitment to work in one of their approved facilities after graduation. Where are you moving from?

I applied for early decision and i am patiently waiting ,anybody heard anything ?how soon do we start to hear.
@slg_nursse15 Not yet! It's hard not to think about it as we get closer to November but I'm gonna try not to worry about it until Halloween. I can't wait to be able to talk to them and knock it out of the way! I'm just so glad I got everything done before the early decision deadline so I won't have to wait longer than I already am.
