Hello! Just trying to get connected with anyone who has or will be applying to the summer 2015 Accelerated BSN program at Remington College in Lake Mary. I just sent out my application yesterday! Anyone else on here who has applied heard anything yet? :)
Hey sarahstenchy!!! I'm from New Hyde Park. Where do you live in Long Island? Shoot me an email at [email protected]
Hello All! For those who have been accepted into the program, how soon after your phone interview did you receive a confirmation email or letter saying that you have been "fully" accepted? Also, has anyone looked into housing? If so, what area do you recommend? I'm from California, and not familiar with the area at all. Thanks in advance for any input.
Hi Cheeks! I had the same question about receiving something to confirm my acceptance, apparently the dean is away until mid June, so we won't get official letters until he gets back and can sign them. I would just shoot Melissa an email, and she will update you.
I just went down to apartment hunt last weekend - Lake Mary is SOOOO nice! There are a lot of complexes within a couple miles of the school. That's where I focused my search, and ended up completely falling in love with the area! I didn't have time to explore much more than the Lake Mary/Sanford area, so I don't really know anything about the towns in between Lake Mary and Orlando. But I did go to several apartment complexes in the area, so let me know if you have any questions.
Hello! I applied for summer of 2015 as well! I'm so excited! Have you guys heard anything about ECPI buying Remington? Does anyone know if that will affect our tuition? Also are our clinical studies at one hospital the whole time or is it at several hospitals? I applied at the regular deadline but I'm dying to hear something already! Good luck to everyone!
Hello Victoria .. It won't affect tuition since changes are not taking place this summer. I already did all my payment arrangements with the School and the tuition was the same nothing changed that is why I know for sure. Hope that helps and good luck with you application and hope to see you in July. My interview is today I already got a provisional acceptance letter pending my Developmental Psychology grade, I am so excited about starting school in July and seeing everyone else.

I find that admissions is very prompt here and they are super helpful with responding to emails and calls and such. I had my interview with Melissa 2 weeks ago, we chatted on the phone for just about half an hour. She asked the usual questions like why are you choosing this as a career path, why remington, the traits of a good nurse, your own strengths and weaknesses, rate yourself on certain abilities (reading, organization, etc). Then she asked if I had any questions so I had already prepared a few things I wanted to ask her.
