  1. Thank you so much for the response marinanova. I'm going to try a couple of cosigners I had saved as last resort and will go with Sallie Mae now knowing they are more forgiving. Trying desperately to pull this together haha. I hope that Nurse Corps will come through for us in the long run! I called last week and they told me they are going to start emailing decisions soon.
  2. Has anyone had any luck getting loans? I have tried Sallie Mae, Wells Fargo and Discover and been denied for all. My credit is almost 700 but not quite and I just don't have much history. I'm not even requesting close to the full amount in tuition either. Any recommendations? I suppose I just need to find a credit worthy cosigner.
  3. Hey guys guess what...... I got accepted!!!!!! So happy and can't wait to meet you guys! Marina is everything going good with the HRSA application? I ran into a little issue attempting to enter and provide the correct end and start dates when it was asking for the length. Did you have this issue? Congrats again everyone! I think we are entering the program at a perfect time.
  4. Congratulations Marina!!!! Hard work pays off. Good luck Ashlee! I'm sure it will go great. I actually really like the interview questions. The tell me about yourself ones always make me a little nervous. I never know if they are referring to! Personality, current life, experiences, hobbies, etc... It is hard to summarize yourself in a couple sentences in a way. I am still waiting for my interview date *gulp*. Hopefully I will know soon because I really want to start working on my HRSA application if I am admitted. Also Marina, at the end of the interview she just told you that you were officially accepted? So happy for both of you! I hope I find out soon :,( ♡.
  5. Aww that's great Marina! Happy Birthday and congratulations to both of you! See told you your stats were awesome. Melissa emailed me back and said that they would be contacting me to schedule an interview in the next couple of weeks since they were still getting all the interview schedule times together. So I think I'm hopefully in the next pool of interviews. So nervous, we'll see. If it's not meant to be, it's not meant to be! Oh, wow okay, so you actually received a letter in the mail or an email? In that case my grandmother may have received it at my home address not here at my dorm. I'll check with her tomorrow, fingers crossed.
  6. Oh my gosh, I didn't get one yet, I'm so scared, maybe she'll contact me soon I hope! Congrats guys and good luck! í ½í¸Ší ½í¸Ší ½í¸›Did she email or call you guys?
  7. Hi again! Thank you so much for your support marina nova, I hope you are right :). Anyone hear anything about interviews? I am getting so anxious and keep checking my email! I know that last cohort they did the interviews in pools, so some people may go before others. And yes Ashlee I haven't heard of anyone yet who has had an interview or even set a designated time.
  8. I think that it states somewhere that anyone above a 75 is in good standing, so you should be good! However, if you have the time and money to retake it, it wouldn't hurt. Also, anyone hear anything more about interviews? I am still waiting on an email. I know that last cohort they did the interviews in pools, so some people may go before others.
  9. Picking up a full time job while also in school full time I meant* lol
  10. Mine aren't so good, I had a really rough undergrad career losing both of my parents and picking up a full time job while working but I stuck through and graduate in April! I got in the 88th percentile or something around that, definitely did best on science, math and reading. That grammar section got me! And my downfall is my GPA I have a 2.90 but so far I have straight As this semester so if all goes well when I send my upgraded transcripts I'll have a 3.0! I explained my situation in my essay and I really hope they take it into consideration as a young adult because I'm such a hard worker and this is my passion. You have great stats I am so sure you will get in! :) Do you have previous health experience? And wow haha yeah that's why I'm freaking out because the HRSA scholarship won't consider you if your not already accepted! Phew so many things to fall into place right! I'm still working on my application I didn't want to go crazy with it in case I didn't get in, you already submitted yours?
  11. Oh my gosh that makes me feel so much better because I feel like I have been receiving a similar response and I didn't want to be annoying or overboard. I submitted everything about a week before the deadline but I accidentally didn't attach the FDLE waiver so I had to scan it over. And then one of my recommendation letters (both of mine were sent directly to the college from my evaluators not in my personal application package) got lost or something in the mail and just got there last week . So I was freaking out thinking I wasn't going to even be considered for early decision anymore and I really needed to be because I am applying for the HRSA scholarship and applications are due May 20th. Like you have to be admitted and in good standing by May 20th! But she emailed me yesterday and said yes I am still in the early decision and my application will be reviewed in the next couple of weeks. I don't know what that means though, like interviews in the next couple of weeks or it hasn't even been processed yet? I'm not sure, I did receive the email confirming my application was received as the ticket receipt. Wow yes I can imagine how stressful that would be! It's going to be hard relocating myself 3 hours away over there. I can try and help you if you want since I'm in Florida at least! I'm originally from Ormond Beach FL but currently live in Boca Raton finishing my bachelors at FAU. I graduate April 30th then go back to Ormond which is only 45 min to an hour from Lake Mary however I will be getting an apartment much much closer to campus if I am admitted! Can I ask your GPA and TEAs?
  12. Hi there! I made a thread as well but no one really responded! I applied for early decision and was told my application would be reviewed in the next couple of weeks. She told you interviews would be next week? I am so happy to find someone who applied for early decision! I'm nervous but so excited and hope I get in!
  13. Yes I know, it was a little tedious to get all of the application together! I still haven't heard whether I'm accepted or not, but the Admissions Coordinator said I should know in two to three weeks.
