I am starting the post for anyone applying to Remington College of Nursing for the 2nd Degree Accelerated Bachelors of Nursing program in Lake Mary Florida. If you currently or previously attended RCON will join is as well.

Glad that you found the posts helpful. You have plenty of time. The Early Submission Date for the January 2015 class is October 3, 2014 at 5:00pm and the Final Submission Date is December 1, 2014 at 5:00pm.

I did as well. I am sure that you will be fine. What are your stats? GPA, TEAS, Science GPA.

Overall GPA : 3.63 Science 3.2 Teas: 85

But now I really am worried about this accreditation thing.... My ultimate goal is to be a nurse practitioner, so would I still be able to get into school somewhere with a degree from here?

You are in great shape. Melissa said that they are currently in the process of getting the SACS accreditation. The accreditation people are there this week and next week. They might get it sooner that we expect. Did you apply to anywhere else?

Yes, I am from Kentucky so I applied to a school here thats an ABSN (but its super expensive and a last backup option) and I applied to Queens university ABSN in Charlotte, NC. I REALLY want to go to Remington though, Florida would just work out best for me.

I am taking over anatomy and physiology I lecture to try to raise my GPA just in case I don't get early admission. I am doing the TEAS again on Friday.

How did you do on the application essay? I struggled with mine. I was so nervous. Makes no sense.

Hope you are right! do you know about how long it takes for them to notify acceptance?? I need all the extra time I can get for a move to Florida !

Yeah, there are just too many things they wanted to be included!!! I wrote a curriculum vitae and added a lot of the things they asked for in that instead of in my essay... I have A LOT of experience working in the hospital. I currently work at a level one trauma center in the emergency department so my essay is more of a story and I put all my credentials in my curriculum vitae.
