Relocating to Dallas-Can someone help?

If you plan to actually live in the Dallas city limits, most people regard North Dallas as the most desirable part of the city, with East Dallas coming in as a close second. A real estate agent told me that the general rule of thumb about living in Dallas is to "Stay north of the Trinity River." However, many people are opting to live in the suburbs located north, south, east, and west of the city. The suburbs located directly north of Dallas are really booming and undergoing rapid population growth. Houses range from $80,000 up to $500,000. Of course, the most desirable areas cost more to live.

The hospitals in the area probably pay less than what you are accustomed to, since you're coming from a high cost of living area. With 2 years of experience, you can expect to earn $24.50 to $26 hourly at most area hospitals.

I live in the southern suburbs of Dallas, in Cedar Hill, and I love it. The nice thing about the southern suburbs of the Dallas is that it is growing rapidly, they are constantly building homes, resturants, and businesses everywhere and you can find a beautiful house at a fairly affordable price. Not to mention the commute is less hectic then driving from a North Dallas suburb to commute to Dallas every morning. The drive to Dallas is about 15 minutes. I go to school downtown and I get there in about 13 min. I do like the north part of Dallas, but that traffic is such a pain!!!

The main suburbs located south of Dallas are Cedar Hill, Duncanville, Desoto, and Lancaster. There are also smaller towns such as Balch Springs, Ovilla, Red Oak, Little Elm, and so on.

Little Elm is north of Dallas...just west of Frisco.

I'm in McKinney now, but want to move west. Maybe around Rhome, Haslet or somewhere in there.

Saginaw is a town near Haslet that is rapidly growing. Other little boomtowns in this general area are Roanoke, Keller, and Trophy Club.
